About the County Clerk
The Iron County Clerk’s office maintains County Commission records, payroll, accounts payable, the County budget and financial statements, County inventory, Railroad and Utility tax billing, assessed valuation for political subdivisions, liquor licenses, ATV/UTV permits, notary commissions, voter registration, and serves as the election administration authority for Iron County.
ATV/UTV Permits
ATV/UTV permits may be purchased in person Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (except holidays), or by mail.
- Cost: $5.00 per year, for up to 5 years
- Payment: Cash or check only — no debit or credit cards accepted

Notary Commissions
Applicants must first apply with the Missouri Secretary of State’s Commissions Division and obtain a surety bond. The bond must be remitted to and verified by the County Clerk’s Office before the applicant receives their oath and commission.
