About the Coroner
The Iron County Coroner is a government official who confirms and certifies the death of an individual within Iron County. The Coroner may conduct or order an investigation into the manner or cause of death, and may investigate or confirm the identity of an unknown person found dead within the jurisdiction.
Responsibilities include overseeing the investigation and certification of deaths related to mass disasters occurring within the county. The Coroner’s office maintains death records of those who have died within the county.
