About the Treasurer’s Office
The Iron County Treasurer is the elected official responsible for the safe and prudent investment of County monies. Duties include receipting, balancing, reconciling, distributing, and ensuring that all monies are correctly accounted for in separate funds as required by Missouri law.
Iron County maintains more than 30 separate funds. The Treasurer works with all fellow officeholders who receive money in their individual offices and then turn it over to the County Treasurer’s office for proper disbursement.
